While glide and slide enthusiasts may appear to be having all the fun, lovers of the great outdoors and related activities are not being left out in the cold. To these friends of a boundless nature, the resort offers a full array of facilities for cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, tube sliding and snowmobiling.

At Mont Grand-Fonds, the slopes are on the southwest side of the mountain. This means you'll likely be skiing in the sun! What more could you wish for? More snow? An average annual natural snow accumulation of some 650 centimetres provides the answer. Daunting, yet always safe slopes with 335 metres of elevation are yours to discover. This mountain is a family treat wrapped in a warm ambiance.
Please note that, for safety reasons, only skiers and boarders have access to the ski lifts, at all times and without exception.

Cross-countryers are sure to enjoy our network of 160 kilometres of intermediate-level trails. Fifty of these kilometres are designed for step skating. The trails wind through grandiose decor and breathtaking panorama in the heart of the back country and in sheltered valleys away from the wind.
Four heated shelters await you. The comfort list: free coffee, hot chocolate and chicken broth... to warm body and soul!

Mont Grand-Fonds provides a network of trails in two sectors: one at the base of the mountain (for family outings) and another at the summit (for intermediates and experts). Overall, it's a unique choice of superior trails that wind through a generous nature's forests and glades to bring fun and joy to snowshoe enthusiasts.

At the summit: The Trappeur trail
Designed for more expert snowshoers or simply those who are in better shape, the Trappeur trail is a sustained 8.5 kilometre climb that goes up to the Lac Gravel belvedere and to the heated cottage at the summit.
At the base: The Promenade and Lion trails
Two trails, one of 4 km and the other of 8 km, are genuine corners of paradise for families or for those who like to take time out to enjoy great decor in the glades. Two heated shelters are conveniently located. The comfort list: free coffee, hot chocolate and chicken broth. Everything to enjoy the warm winter ambiance in Charlevoix.
Snowmobiling
Snowmobilers can ride provincial trails No. 3 and No. 83, as well as regional trail No. 378. These trails all lead to Mont Grand-Fonds, a great place for a well-deserved pause in good company. A cafeteria, a bar and a warm atmosphere await you.
A new groomed trail now leads to the mountain's summit. The Lac Gravel belvedere perched high on that summit offers a spectacular view.
